Fourth, we're gearing up for yet another big deep-stack tournament in January, the Winter Deep Freeze. Yeah, it's in January, but we'll be holding satellites in December. The last deep-stack, the Fall Classic, pulled 280 entrants and had a prize pool of $84,000 and drew some sick cash games. You won't want to miss this one. Keep your eyes here for more details.

The Fall Classic - Day 2

Day 2 of the Fall Classic got underway at 1p sharp and featured the 60 finalists wrestling for over 2.8 million total chips and $84,000 in total prize money. The Final Table was seated around 4:30p, and within 30 minutes, we were down to five finalists who chopped for almost $10k each.

Byron C. took first place honors with the chip lead; Brandon W. and Kevin B. finished 2nd and 3rd, respectively. Congrats to all the players who entered and all the Club One Casino dealers and staff who made the event run smoothly.

Hungry for more deep-stack poker? Keep an eye out for our Winter Deep Freeze. Better yet, come in and see one of our hosts to get on our list. We'll make sure you know about all our events!

The Fall Classic - Day 1

Club One Casino's first annual Fall Classic drew an impressive 280 entrants who ponied up $345 each to compete for an $84,000 prize pool. This was a "deep stack" event with 10,000 start chips, 25/25 start blinds and 30-minute levels. Day 1 got started at 1:10p and played down to the final six tables with Phuoug Troung and Evan Gomez tied for the chip lead with 153,500 each.

Day 2 starts at 1p on Sun, Nov 23 and plays until completion with first place prize money of $20,580.

There were a lot of new faces to Club One Casino and the cash game action was predictably heavy with limit games from 1/2 to 15/30, no limit games from 1/1 to 5/10 and Omaha 3/6 running throughout the day. If you missed it, no worries. We're planning a Winter Deep Freeze for January.

We also announced that starting Sun, Nov 23rd we're offering double jackpots in our 4/8 kill game and running a high hand car promotion and Royal Flush jackpot in December. No purchase necessary.

Club One to host 1st Annual Central Valley Poker Championships

Earlier this month, Club One Casino announced it’s hosting the first annual Central Valley Poker Championships from Sunday 8/3 through Saturday 8/9. The week-long series of events will include a variety of deep stack events and will culminate in a $500 buy-in main event with a guaranteed prize pool of $50,000. In addition to winnings, players will accumulate points in each event played, with the overall point’s winner to receive an Overall Champion bracelet.

Club One Director of Tournaments Brian Masterson commented, “We think it’s time for Central California to have a legitimate tournament series comparable to what you’d find in Southern California or Las Vegas. In the last few months, we’ve established Club One as the premier tournament location in the Fresno area with the biggest prize pools and best structures. It’s obvious that there are a number of good players in the area and we think they’ll appreciate the chance to compete in a series of even larger events and prize pools.”

“The CVPC will have a week-long series of events including NL and other events with increasing buy-ins. We’re going to have a celebrity charity event on Friday, August 9th, and our main event the following Saturday will be a $500 buy-in event with a $50,000 guarantee. All of the events will start with 10,000 chips and have 30-minute levels. If you’re a good tournament player, you’re going to love these events.”
