Day 2 of the Fall Classic got underway at 1p sharp and featured the 60 finalists wrestling for over 2.8 million total chips and $84,000 in total prize money. The Final Table was seated around 4:30p, and within 30 minutes, we were down to five finalists who chopped for almost $10k each.
Byron C. took first place honors with the chip lead; Brandon W. and Kevin B. finished 2nd and 3rd, respectively. Congrats to all the players who entered and all the Club One Casino dealers and staff who made the event run smoothly.
Club One Casino's first annual Fall Classic drew an impressive 280 entrants who ponied up $345 each to compete for an $84,000 prize pool. This was a "deep stack" event with 10,000 start chips, 25/25 start blinds and 30-minute levels. Day 1 got started at 1:10p and played down to the final six tables with Phuoug Troung and Evan Gomez tied for the chip lead with 153,500 each.
Day 2 starts at 1p on Sun, Nov 23 and plays until completion with first place prize money of $20,580.
Tough economy? We're here to help. Starting November 23, Club One Casino will offer double jackpots in 4/8 limit games during various times Sun-Thu. Hit a qualifying jackpot hand on any of our 4/8 tables and your payout will be 2x as big as usual! That's a serious bankroll builder!
The 104.1 It Just Rocks Free-roll (10/22) at Club One Casino was a HUGE success! We had over 200 entrants competing for $2500 in cash, gift certificates from Roe Sushi, Fresno Falcons hockey tickets, i-Tunes gift cards, DVDs and more. The final table ended up with a 3-way chop for over $400 apiece!

The Central Valley Poker Championships are underway at Club One Casino. Event #1 kicked off the week with a staggering 221 entrants and a prize pool of over $17,000 (including bounties). Event #2 drew another 105 entrants and a prize pool of $12,600!
Wayne L. won Event #2 and took home $2,310 with the three-way chop with John and Danny H.
The Central Valley Poker Championships tournament series kicks off on Aug 3rd with a $100 buy-in NL bounty tournament at 12:15p. Highlights of the week will include the Celebrity Bounty tournament on Aug 8th at 4:15p with special guests Jose Canseco, Barbara Enright, Jason Von Flue, Shaun Deeb, Councilman Mike Dages among others and the $50,000 Guarantee Main Event on Aug 9th at 12:15p. It was another busy weekend at Club One Casino! First, Club One hosted the WarGods mixed martial arts fight weigh-in on Friday where over 30 fighters squared off at the scale. Then on Saturday, we unveiled our new Magic Sing system for another crazy night of karaoke and dancing. Finally, Club One Casino now spreads Fortune Pai Gow! No need to drive 20 miles to play this exciting game. You can be playing in minutes at Club One Casino at the corner of Van Ness and Tulare in downtown.
Oh yeah, we had plenty of poker action, too. Club One Casino is THE place for poker in Fresno with limit action from 1/2 through 15/30 full kill and 1/1 NL, 2/2 NL and 2/5 NL. Omaha every Saturday, of course, and by request most other days.

We also had the Bud Light girls handing out entries to the Bud Light Party Cruise and taking photos with Club One customers. Don't miss the next UFC fight on August 9th! Congratulations to Mr. Russel Silva for his recent cash at the World Series of Poker! Mr. Silva's journey began on June 28th, 2008 at Fresno's own Club One Casino, when he won a $10,000 seat in the World Series of Poker Championship event held at the Rio Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada.
UFC Fight Night Live on PPV on all the flat screen monitors throughout the casino on Sat night. Chuck Liddell vs. R. Evans? That's must see TV, in our opinion.
Next time you're in downtown Fresno, take the short walk from Club One Casino to the Fulton Mall and check out the bronze sculpture, La Grand Laveuse (aka Washerwoman) circa 1917-18. It's a classic piece directed by Pierre Auguste Renoir, one of the most famous artists in the 19th and early 20th centuries, and one of only six original castings worldwide. Other castings can be found in Fontvieille Park, Monaco, the Tate Collection, the Philadelphia Art Museum and Washington University in St. Louis. Renoir was a celebrator of beauty and sensuality and the piece is a fine representation of his style. Come in to Club One for lunch and have one of our friendly hosts lead you to it!

We're partial to our own restaurant, but you can visit any of these neighboring eateries, too!
There are a surprising number of cool things to do in downtown Fresno in between sessions at Club One Casino. For example, tucked away on the 2nd floor of the historic 1060 Fulton Mall building (aka the Security Bank building) is a brand new, upscale hair salon called The Loft.
On July 6th, over 300 high hand hopefuls spent the day at Club One with cash drawings every hour. Finally, at 6p, Kevin B. became the most recent winner at Club One Casino when his name was drawn in our Summer Car Giveaway promotion. Our next day of giveaways is Sunday, August 3rd. Cash giveaways start at 1p and continue until the final car drawing at 6p. You must be present to win. No purchase necessary.
In July, August and September, Club One Casino is giving away a car a month to help you put a beat on high gas prices! In the next two months, when you score a high hand at our poker tables, we'll put your name in a drawing. On July 26th, from 7p to 1a Club One Casino will be presenting another Karaoke and DJ party in its banquet room. The last karaoke night was a huge hit with Club One employees and guests fighting over the mike until the wee hours of the morning. Bring your friends and your courage. Karaoke will be from 7p to 10p and the DJ party will be from 10p to 1a. Admission is free!
The WSOP Satellite at Club One went off at 12:15p on Saturday, June 28th, with 99 entrants and a total prize pool of $36,000! The 9-hour marathon ended with three lucky winners Russell, Steve and Martin, all of whom won a seat to the WSOP Main Event and $2,000 in spending money. Thanks to all the players and staff for a great tournament, and let's hope we see some Club One hats on TV!
